On behalf of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), the General Services Administration (GSA), issued a request for proposals for a 75,000 square-foot, single-story, state-of-the art “green” laboratory building.
In July 2002, US Federal Properties (USFP) was awarded the project based on quality and price factors and its understanding of OSHA’s needs. Designed to be environmentally responsible, the building serves as a national technological and laboratory facility for OSHA. It was completed in February 2005 and awarded the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver Certification.
