Rick Baier is a Principal with US Federal Properties (USFP), and has over 40 years of experience in the commercial real estate business.

  • Rick Baier is a Principal with US Federal Properties (USFP), and has over 40 years of experience in the commercial real estate business. He has been involved in all aspects of commercial real estate and development in Kansas City and multiple national markets. He is experienced in office/industrial/retail, medical office and federal development projects for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the General Services Administration (GSA). Rick also has extensive knowledge in hospitality/hotel development, leasing, investment sales, land sales and asset/facility management.

    Rick’s career includes executive positions at Leo Eisenberg Company, CB Richard Ellis, US Federal Properties Co. LLC and the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), a 20,000-member, worldwide commercial real estate trade organization.

Dan Carr is a Principal with US Federal Properties Co. and his primary focus is on the development of commercial assets across the country.

  • With over 37 years of real estate experience, Dan has been responsible for the development of over $1 Billion in commercial real estate projects over the past 20 years. Combined with over $2 billion of acquisition and dispositions services, this adds to his extensive knowledge of the development and capital markets. Dan has worked on the planning, execution and asset management of real estate over a broad range of asset classes.

Kevin Kelly • Principal

Kevin Kelly serves as Chief Financial Officer and directs the corporate finance, treasury, accounting and administrative functions for the company.

  • Kevin Kelly joined US Federal Properties Co. in 2010. He serves as Chief Financial Officer and directs the corporate finance, treasury, accounting and administrative functions for the company. Over the past 18 years, Kevin has served as CFO for both public and privately held companies.

    Prior to joining USFP, he served as CFO for two different venture capital-backed clean tech companies and between 1998 and 2008, Kevin served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ferrellgas Partners, L.p., a publicly-traded, Fortune 1000 propane distribution company. Kevin is a Certified Public Accountant and currently serves as audit committee chairman and board member of a privately-held pharmaceutical wholesaler and also serves on the board and audit committee of a Kansas City based charitable organization.

Jason Hobick • Vice President, Development

Jason Hobick’s primary focus is on the development of federally leased assets across the county and underwriting acquisition opportunities.

  • Jason Hobick joined US Federal Properties Co. (USFP) in 2020 and serves as Vice President of Development. His primary focus is on the development of federally leased assets across the county and underwriting acquisition opportunities. Jason has 18 years of commercial real estate experience and has been involved in the management, leasing, development and redevelopment of federal assets throughout his career.

    Jason began his career at the US General Services Administration (GSA) as a Lease Contracting Officer, representing federal tenant agencies throughout the Midwest. Prior to joining USFP, he was the portfolio manager for Office Properties Income Trust (OPI), a $3 billion publicly traded office REIT (formerly known as Government Properties Income Trust (GOV), the largest GSA landlord in the United States). Jason is a CCIM, and previously held board positions for the local Kansas City chapters of both CCIM and Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).

Kristi Stuedle has a broad knowledge of leasing, sales and development activities. She is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations and coordinating all aspects of the commercial real estate development and investment business

  • With over 30 years of real estate experience, Kristi Stuedle serves as Director of Operations for US Federal Properties. Kristi has a broad knowledge of leasing, sales and development activities. She is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations and coordinating all aspects of the commercial real estate development and investment business, including financing, marketing, legal and project documentation. In this role, she supports the USFP team in various capacities. Kristi is extremely detail-oriented, and has excellent organizational and communication skills, making her essential to USFP’s efficient and accurate daily business operations.

 

Tyler Strong • Vice President, Development & Construction

Tyler Strong’s primary focus is on the development of privately leased retail assets across the country and underwriting acquisition opportunities.

  • Tyler Strong joined US Federal Properties Co. (USFP) in 2022 and serves as Vice President of Development & Construction. His primary focus is the successful delivery of development projects across the Western United States. His role will include feasibility study, underwriting, cost estimating, land acquisition, pre-construction planning, design development and construction administration. With a background in construction management (Jacobsen Construction Company Inc. – 10 years), Tyler has extensive experience controlling cost on a variety of projects and has demonstrated excellent management skills. He’s been involved in a wide range of projects, including some valued over $250,000,000. Tyler also has notable experience completing projects across the United States as a general contractor.

 

Matt Crawford • Senior Associate, Development

Matt Crawford, Senior Associate, joined USFP in 2022. 

  • His primary role is in assisting and managing the development process of Family Dollar/Dollar Tree.  This includes everything from land acquisition, due diligence, construction, and completion of the project.  Matt graduated from The University of Kansas and started his career in Commercial Real Estate with AREA Real Estate Advisors.   At AREA he specialized in tenant and landlord representation, sales, and investment of Industrial property. Matt is eager to learn and grow within the company and strives to do so. Outside of work he enjoys hunting, spending time at his farm, the lake, and traveling. 

 

Ryan Kelly • Director of Finance and Accounting

Ryan Kelly’s primary role is in assisting and managing the financing and accounting functions for Family Dollar/Dollar Tree.  This includes managing current loans and banking relationships,  leading financial modeling for all deal submittals, managing the monthly pay-application process, developing and monitoring annual budget and financial forecasts, assisting third-party accountant and tax firm, and reviewing existing business processes and financial/accounting policies.

  • Ryan graduated from Rockhurst University with an undergraduate degree in Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration. He has previous experience in public accounting with Deloitte and in financial reporting with Epiq Systems, and in his free time, enjoys tailgating and attending Chiefs games, spending time with his family and at the lake.
